Dr. Gavrila has found that using a blunt-tip microcannula as an alternative to hypodermic needles has simplified filler injections and produced less bruising, echymosis, and pain with faster recovery. Fewer punctures are necessary with the microcannula as compared to the hypodermic needle; thereby, reducing procedure time, pain, and bleeding.
