What is Restylane Defyne?
Restylane Defyne is the newest in a line of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is one of the key ingredients in our skin that gives it its elasticity. Elasticity is important because the more elastic the skin is, the easier it bounces back from emotions. As we get older, this HA begins to fade away, and our skin develops wrinkles and deep lines. Replacing this HA is an important step in wrinkle prevention.
Restylane Defyne is a brand-new, FDA approved HA-based filler that specifically targets the nasolabial folds (NLF) or “laugh lines.” These “laugh lines” are the wrinkles and folds we get between our nose and our mouth and around the cheek area. Defyne uses its advanced HA formula to give the skin more elasticity and smooth out existing wrinkles and deep lines.
What Makes Defyne Work?
The key to Defyne’s ability to work lies in its XpresHAn technology. XpresHAn takes what we already know about HA fillers to a whole new level. By increasing the flexibility and support of the filler, XpresHAn technology allows it to work longer and better than ever before. Studies have shown that patients continue to see results up to an entire year after their treatment date.
Am I a Good Candidate For Defyne?
Defyne is perfect for individuals suffering from wrinkles and deep lines around their mouths, noses and cheeks. Defyne is a non-invasive way to clear up unwanted wrinkles for otherwise healthy adults. Certain skin and blood issues could prevent a person from using this product. It’s important to mention any conditions you may have or medications you’re currently taking during your initial consultation.
What Happens After Treatment?
You will be able to see results after your first treatment, but the best results are seen after multiple appointments. Once your procedure is completed, there may be some swelling, tenderness or bruising around the treatment area. These side effects are light and only last a short amount of time. It’s a good idea to keep the area moisturized and away from prolonged sunlight until fully healed.
